Whoa, hang on, where did all these dates come from? How do we know when Andross was born? Also, should we even include the unknowns? Having them there doesn't really do much for the timeline. Jimbo-Jambo

Like I said, this is open to discussion. What really needs to be done is decide how old various characters were in each game and work the math backwards from there. Dogman15 21:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
How are we deciding that though? How many characters' ages are ever given? Jimbo-Jambo
A few ages (especially Fox's) are given for SF64, SFA, and SF:A. Plus, one of the Star Fox comics that was made (I have a PDF of it) gives their ages as they were between SF64 and SFA. Speaking of the comics (I believe there were three), why don't we have articles summarizing them, even if they're non-canon? I also had to recently create a Shigeru Miyamoto article. That's just absurd. Dogman15 16:28, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
The wiki needs a lot of work, in case you haven't noticed. Nobody owns or has read the comics, and I'm not sure we really need a Miyamoto article. Jimbo-Jambo
I have PDFs of all three comics (and I can provide links to where I found them), and I'd be more than happy to make articles about them in my spare time. Dogman15 23:30, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
That would be appreciated. How detailed a summary do you think the articles should give? Also, where in Assault does it give characters' ages? Jimbo-Jambo

(unindent) I believe I said "One of the Star Fox comics that was made ... gives their ages as they were..." In fact, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox:_Farewell,_Beloved_Falco#Other_media There's Wikipedia's summary of the comics - but I can do longer (not neccessarily better). By the way, the comics can be downloaded at http://www.sassie.net/misc.shtml Dogman15 05:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Just before that, you said characters' ages were given for Star Fox 64, Adventures, and Assault. And thanks for the links. I'll check out the comics.
EDIT: Just read Farewell, Beloved Falco. Actually not too bad, especially the art. However, do we have any more points of reference for the characters' ages? I mean, not that we really need any more to determine their dates of birth and such, but I'd just like to make sure there aren't any inconsistencies. Jimbo-Jambo

Just like to revisit the question about more points of reference for characters' ages. They aren't listed in SF64 or Assault, and although a few of them can be found in Farewell Beloved Falco, characters like Andross aren't there. Also, again about making up our own date system, it really seems like it strays into fanon territory, and we are not going there. Isn't there some other way we could convey it? Jimbo-Jambo

It says in the intro video to Star Fox 64 that a few years passed between the time James was supposedly killed and when Fox went after Andross. Do we know exactly how much time passed there? Jimbo-Jambo

Hmm... Good point. I'm not sure how many years that was. Maybe two? I see it like this: Fox was 16 and still in school when his dad was killed, and then he turned 18 and graduated high school/flight academy and restarted Star Fox with Peppy's help. Dogman15 06:22, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
We can't use a "maybe." Besides, I think the fact that General Pepper calls for Star Fox's help implies that it's been running under Fox's command for at least a little while before Andross attacked Corneria.
Also, should we even list events with unknown dates? I mean, keep major events like James' apparent death, event if we don't know the exact date, but get rid of things like unknown birth dates. Jimbo-Jambo
I'd just like to put in my thought's. Firstly, I always felt that it was three years between James' disappearance and the start of the Lylat Wars. And secondly, that Fox didn't graduate from the Cornerian academy, but rather that he dropped out instead, which would explain why General Pepper offered him a place in the Cornerian Army at the end of Star Fox 64. WTH is Vixy Reinard?

I know that somebody is trying to help, but I have at least 3 problems with this.

  • I'll accept that Vixy is supposedly Fox's mother, but giving her an unneccesary maiden name is a bit much.
  • It is more likely that "Vixy" would have died from illness, most likely the same illness which claimed Vivian Hare in an epidemic, per se. NOT from a car bomb.
  • It would probrably be more likely (and in some ways better) if Fox's mother died when he was about 3-5 years old, rather than just one.
