Elements

Super Smash Bros., commonly known as Super Smash Bros. 64 (SSB, Smash 64, SSB64), is the game that started the Super Smash Bros. game series. It contains elements from the first two Star Fox games, which were released at nearly the same time.

Fox[]

Fox SSB Intro

Fox in the introduction movie in Super smash Bros..

Fox appears in Super Smash Bros., as the only Star Fox character, hailing from his home in the Lylat System. He is a character of medium height, light weight, and incredible speed. His blaster is useful in that it can stop characters in their tracks, and he has a reflector that can send enemy projectiles right back from where they originated. Fox has quick, multi-hit attacks and fast smashes that allow for easy KOing. Fox's appearance is from the one he has in Star Fox 64, and his demeanor, quietness, and gestures would suggest that he is a loner.

Special Moves
  • Standard (B): Blaster
  • Up (↑ + B): Fire Fox
  • Down (↓ + B): Reflector

Stages from the Star Fox series[]

Representing the Star Fox Series is Sector Z as a stage in this game. The characters fight aboard the hull of the Great Fox, while dodging the occasional shots from the nearby Arwings, which, once near enough, can be boarded by a character. Space junk and debris can see frequently in the background, and on rare occasion a Copperhead missile or Wolfen star fighters will randomly appear as well. Instead of the traditional Fichina & Sector Z background musical theme, it is the Star Fox Team leitmotif that plays during a round of gameplay on the stage.
