Striders are enemies that appear in Star Fox Zero. They are mechanoids that can be found on certain planets (especially Fichina) except Fortuna.
Appearance[]
Striders resemble a metallic disc supported by four legs. On top of their body is a red eye that serves as their weak spot.

Star Fox Zero[]
Striders make their debut appearance in the mission "Enter Star Fox!", which takes place on the Corneria stage, where Caiman and his goons dispatch them to attack General Pepper in the mission's second stage, "Protect General Pepper". Fox McCloud and his teammates have to fight them as a (sub-)boss in order to complete this stage, after which the Androsa shows up.
Striders can later be found in the mission "A Fox in the Desert", hiding their bodies in the sand until Fox gets close to them with his Landmaster. Upon getting close, the Striders burst out of their hiding spot and attack.
Striders can later be found when Fox McCloud downs Leon Powalski in the first stage of the mission "Frostbitten Fray", where they appear all over the map en masse to start stage two. At this point, Fox decides to switch his ship out for the Landmaster, which can now fly around the arena. The Striders do not have to be defeated in their entirety; the level boss, a larger version of them called the Mother Strider, makes her appearance after Fox defeats several of them.
