Spy Eyes are a type of satellite possessed by the Venomian Forces in their secret base at Sector X.
Purpose[]
They lack weaponry, causing some to speculate that their purpose was as a form of early warning satellite. However, they don't do much upon Star Fox's arrival, indicating that the base's destruction resulted in their deactivation. In addition, it was also believed that they acted as a supply depot because of their possession of various items such as supply rings.
Enemy Recon[]
- “Spy Eyes do not possess any offensive weapons, and it is believed that they are some sort of early warning satellite. Some may also function as a kind of supply spot, since they often contain Supply Rings and other items. Look carefully, as many of them are hidden amount the floating space debris.”

In the games[]
Star Fox 64/3D[]
Cornerian spies reported that Andross was developing a star base in Sector X, but remote sensors only detected a huge field of space debris. It is unclear if Andross's base construction project had been destroyed by some kind of accident, or if this was part of his plan. It could also been a trap. Because of the destruction of Sector X, the Spy Eyes often floated among the debris of the ruined base.
Star Fox Zero[]
Spy Eyes reappear in Star Fox Zero, under the name: Mambo I.
