The Spellstones were created by the Krazoa God of Sauria, filled with dark matter that absorb the energy of the planet and hold it together, and with his six spirits he brings life to the planet. There are four Spellstones, which actually appear in two variants. A red Spellstone had to be taken to the Volcano ForcePoint Temple, while blue Spellstones were taken to the Ocean ForcePoint Temple.
The first of the Spellstones that Fox has to obtain while rescuing Sauria duing Star Fox Adventures was in the Dark Ice Mines, where a large creature named Galdon had ingested it. Fox had somehow made has way into the belly of the beast and retrieved the first Spellstone, which he then took to the Volcano Forcepoint Temple.
The second Spellstone was underneath the Cloud Runner fortress, which was held by a group of SharpClaw on vehicles. Fox had to pursue and crash the SharpClaw to obtain the Spellstone, which had to be taken to the Ocean ForcePoint Temple.
The third Spellstone was within the Walled City, where the King Earth Walker was held hostage. The city was overrun with Red Eyes. Fox had to make his way to the chambers of the Walled City and he fought the King Red Eye, which was guarding the third Spellstone, and took it to the Volcano ForcePoint.
The last Spelstone was on Dragon Rock. Fox had to free the dinosaurs that were imprisoned and storm the enemy base, after which a dragon-like creature attacked. On the back of a Cloud Runner, Fox gave chase to the dragon and defeated it, whereupon it relinquished the fourth and final Spellstone, and Fox took it to the Ocean ForcePoint.
