The Infernal Joker is the final boss of "Star Fox Guard". It is fought in the final stage, located on Grippia.

Physical Appearance[]

The Infernal Joker (in its second phase) resembles the crimson version of the ATK Unit. His platform is a giant, red ball. It has a grey ring around the equator. Six turrets are on the wing. During the Infernal Joker's third phase, this orb unfolds into a scary bat bot that has yellow eyes and a Vargouille-like's appearance.

Combat[]

During his first phase, the Infernal Joker spins his orb so that his turrets can aim toward their target. The Infernal Joker's main method of movement is teleportation, which allows him to dodge attacks. As he charges up his laser, the Infernal Joker will also blow winds that disrupt your cameras's aim. The turrets's health bars are separate, so destroying one does not damage the rest, but does count against the entire boss. Destroying every one will lead to the second phase.

The Infernal Joker begins his second phase by summoning ATK Units. These attack units will float to their destination in blue bubbles and are invincible while inside. Other attacks during this phase may have the Infernal Joker do the following:

  • The Infernal Joker may fire a lightning bolt from his staff. This can be countered by shooting him enough times to throw off his focus.
  • He can teleport just like he does in his first phase, often when you damage him enough.
  • He may summon other Combat Class robots just like in his second phase's startup.

Deal enough damage to the Infernal Joker to force him back inside the orb and leave behind some metals as he does so. However, he morphs his orb into the bat-like robot it really is, commencing Phase 3. The orb now attacks by firing lasers from its mouth, blockable by shooting the turret and stunning it. It can also be shot in the eyes to deal true damage. It tries to disrupt the cameras's targeting by beating its wings, generating wind, though shooting it enough times forces it to back off. It can also try a kamikaze dive bomb that is blockable through laser fire. It can still teleport to avoid damage. Once it takes enough damage, it collapses, Pigma Dengar wines of the player ruining his chance of taking over the base, and resorts to reactivating the orb for a last ditch effort to destroy the entire base.

Though he is unable to pilot his now-damaged orb around, the Infernal Joker opens the final phase by charging a giant laser. The only effective defense against this deadly attack (which can cause insta-kill) is by shooting the orb. Doing this causes the orb to collapse, the orb's remnants crushes the Infernal Joker, demolishing it for good.
