The Hi-Def Display Device or Zoom Googles is a binocular like piece of equipment that enhances sight. It is a necessary item for purchase in the ThornTail Store, because it is needed to look far away in order to collect the Sun and Moon Stones. Its default price is 20 Scarabs, and the bargain price is 17 Scarabs.
History[]
It was owned by Fox McCloud prior to "Star Fox Adventures", but when Slippy Toad airdropped it to Dinosaur Planet's surface for Fox, the ShopKeeper got it before he did. It works as a scope to view things from a distance and the display can be brought up by pressing the Z Button, replacing the Head View. The C Stick can be used to zoom in and out.
While it is not named as such, Fox is seen using such a device during the events of the Aparoid Invasion on Fichina, and once again on the devastated Corneria Citys surface.
