FireCrawlers are a group of hostile, fire-breathing enemies native to Dinosaur Planet.

Description[]

They resemble the real world Ankylosaurid family, as they are armoured, yet they lack the defensive club tail of that family. They have two limbs, which are forelegs. When attacked, they retract into their shells as modern-day turtles do, while shrouding themselves in fire, but as a result, they are vulnerable to Fox's attacks. As their name implies, they can breath fireballs at their prey from a distance. Fox can take damage just by touching them. The quickest way to defeat one is to use the Ice Blaster technique, and then hit them.

Society and Culture[]

They are one of the few species on Sauria that seem to lack the capability of speech. There is only one FireCrawler in Moon Mountain Pass, but there are multiple FireCrawlers roaming wild on Dragon Rock; the later land may be their homeworld as they seem perfectly built to survive in such desolate landscape. There are around 13 FireCrawlers roaming around Dragon Rock. The three nearest to the Life-Force Door must be defeated in order to rescue the CloudRunner. Fox can only defeat FireCrawlers while riding the EarthWalker by making three successful tusk attacks, but the EarthWalker will be vulnerable to losing his health quickly.

They have no relationship to EarthWalkers, ThornTails or CloudRunners, though they do bare very noticeable similarities to the ThornTails in their legs, head and tails, so it's possible they may have been mutated from them as part of General Scales's mutant army plan. It is unknown who the FireCrawler tribe are truly affiliated with, yet the three FireCrawlers nearest to the Life-Force Door must be defeated in order to unlock it to free the CloudRunner from the dinosaur rebellion.
