Fay Spaniel is an anthropomorphic female poodle who has, along with Miyu, only appeared in the unreleased Star Fox 2 title. As with Miyu, Fay pilots an Interceptor class Arwing which is far faster than the other Arwing models, but wasn't built with defense in mind. Her personality seems especially cheery and the "go-getter" type. She is characterized by her bubbly attitude, white fur, and a big red bow in her hair. Some fans speculate that Fay is General Pepper's niece.
Trivia
Given that so many elements of Star Fox 2 were carried over to Star Fox 64 (such as the Star Wolf team) it could be considered that Bill Grey, an ally of Star Fox who was also a dog, may have been Fay's replacement.
Fay is the only character in Star Fox 2 to wear a identical helmet from Fox.
In the early beta of Star Fox 2, as known "Star Fox II" (in the japanse version) a different character with a unknown name and gender appeared as a white sheep, but later was replaced by Fay.
There's a speculation by some fans to adding her a last name for Fay, calling her as "Fay Spaniel".
