Fara Phoenix (ファラ・フェニックス Fara Fenikkusu) is a character from the 1992 Star Fox comics, created by Benimaru Itoh, that came from Nintendo Power.
In the comic, Fara was Fox McCloud's love interest and chief test pilot for the Cornerian Army. She also bears a resemblance to Fox's mother, Vixy Reinard McCloud. She first flew with the Star Fox Team in a black Arwing which was soon shot down by the Attack Carrier. Shortly afterward she flew with Fox through a black hole to reach Venom's back door.
After the cancellation of Star Fox 2, Fara was effectively purged from continuity, with her role as Fox's love interest being replaced by Krystal.

Fara also appears in one of the four beta versions of the unreleased Star Fox 2 game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. But along with Saru, she was removed in the final beta.
