Darts (ダーツ Dātsu), also referred to as Aparoid Interceptor or Aparoid Razor, is a basic airborne Aparoid unit. It appears in 3 Missions throughout the Story Mode of Star Fox: Assault.
Characteristics[]
Darts is an large flying Aparoid with four wings and narrow streamlining. It is nicknamed the "Aparoid Razor" by fans because it has four blue, razor-sharp wings that give it noticeably better maneuverability than the more common Messer. They are armed with only one laser cannon, which has a greenish tint instead of the usual purple one. Like most flying Aparoids, they are about the size of an starfighter.
In the game[]
Mission 5: Meteo[]
Darts are first encountered in Meteo, primarily in and around the base, with the exception of two chasing Falco Lombardi earlier in the level.
Mission 6: Sauria[]
Darts comprised part of the Aparoid invasion force sent to Sauria, and three of them chase Falco and Slippy Toad later on.
Mission 10: Homeworld Core[]
An enhanced version of this enemy called the Guidarts appears to be exclusive to the underground tunnels of the Aparoid Homeworld, traveling in large swarms alongside other airborne Aparoid units as they try to prevent the intrusion of both the Star Fox and Star Wolf teams from reaching the Aparoid Queen. Following the death of their Queen and the destruction of their Homeworld, these units have also perished along with the rest of their kind.
