Brain Squid are enemies found in Star Fox Adventures, native only to Krazoa Palace, the Ocean Force Point Temple and within some Krazoa Shrines on the Dinosaur Planet.
Appearance[]
Hence their name, these gleaming creatures are floating squid like brains that hover around, only harming Fox and Krystal if they get too close by merely spinning into them.
Lifestyle and Habits[]
They wander slowly and aimlessly around a certain area, causing damage merely by touching. As the Foxes get nearer the Squid, they do start to speed up to make this attack. Krystal is most vulnerable against these basic enemies for she recently lost her Staff, therefore throwing a Fuel Barrel to dispatch them or rolling out of the way is advisable. Fox can destroy them with a single Fire Blast or Staff Strike. The Brain Squid do however respawn just like most other enemies in the game, unless they are needed to be dispatched to dispel a Life-Force Door.

- “Brain squids move slowly, so evasion is an efficient tactic. If you wish to destroy one, a single hit from the Staff or the Fire Blaster will do the trick. If you are controlling Krystal, hurl a Fuel Barrel or Small Basket at the brain squid to do it in.”

- Brain Squid can move around in cutscenes without affecting any characters nearby.
- These creatures do actually somehow resemble the Krazoa Spirits and even Andross's true form.
- They also can be dispatched by Krystal or Fox by using SharpClaw baskets.
