The Black Rose is Panther's personal starfighter, which he specifically modified from a Wolfen after Star Wolf's survival from the Aparoid Invasion. The overall appearance somewhat resembles the Wolfen II which was previously used by the whole Star Wolf team during the Lylat Wars. It is somewhat weaker than the other Wolfen designs, but the boost is fairly high and its main weapon was the exclusive Zapper, a slow-firing yet powerful laser blaster that discharges a blue electric ray able to vaporize almost any starfighter.
The naming of this ship would be both fitting for Panther being a melanistic feline, as well as the rose being his choice of flower and calling card. The black rose is also symbolic of mystery, danger, death, or some sort of darker emotion like sorrow or obsessive love, all of which are fitting personality traits for Panther himself.
