Badome (バドーム Badōmu), also referred to as the Aparoid Gunner or Aparoid Mortar, is the second form of Aparoid stationary defense turret that appears in several Missions throughout the Story Mode of Star Fox Assault.

Characteristics[]

The Badome is an slight variation of the Radome, but glows a bright blue, and its "roots" look more like rudimentary legs, as there are six of them. They have two arc-shaped turrets that functioned more like plasma cannons capable of generating plasma torpedoes, and they can do considerable damage. In levels such as Meteo and the Aparoid Homeworld core, they fire bright green lasers, and are obviously much weaker than their ground counterparts.

In the game[]

Mission 4: Fichina[]

Badome are first encountered on Fichina, blockading a path alongside several Radomes.

Mission 5: Meteo[]

Badomes fire lasers in the entrance to the base and in the final tunnel before the Team Star Fox faces off Pigma Dengar who later gets infected by Aparoidedation.

Mission 6: Sauria[]

Badomes are found in several places on Sauria, and they defend some of the Aparoid Hatchers. Five are present on each cliff face.

Mission 7: Corneria[]

Badomes are present on Corneria, bombarding you from wall mounted emplacements.

Mission 9: Aparoid Homeworld[]

Badomes are present on the side of the base where you can find Krystal. They are also present in several buildings near Aparoid Hatchers, and many are on the underside defending several more hatchers.

Mission 10: Homeworld Core[]

Just like at Meteo, Several Badomes fire lasers at several intersections, alongside the more powerful Guidomes.
