Andrew Oikonny has been a supporting antagonistic character or cameo in most Star Fox games, due to being the nephew of Andross.
1997[]
In Star Fox 64, Andrew flies with the Star Wolf space pirates and primarily goes after Slippy Toad in battles against the Star Fox team for unknown reasons, possibly a rivalry that started over superior intellect in the past or the fact that both are the least experienced pilots of their respective teams. Andrew boasts that Andross's enemy is his enemy as well as remarking he's not afraid of Fox and orders him to bow before the great Andross. Depending on whether he was shot down on Fichina, Bolse, or Venom after passing Area 6, he'll either whine for his uncle (Fichina/Bolse), or otherwise scream in anguish as he is shot down (Venom). In addition, if the player fails to shoot down all of Star Wolf on Fichina within the time limit and Andrew is among those who wasn't shot down, Andrew will say "Score one for Andross!" as he departs.
Andrew appeared with the rest of Star Wolf at the Cornerian base on Fichina, declaring that Andross's enemy was his enemy as well. They attempted to keep Star Fox from defusing the bomb that had been planted at the base. However, the formidable team was no match for Star Fox and Andrew, along with his teammates, were shot down. He whined for his Uncle Andross as he plummeted.
Star Wolf, Andrew included, reappeared at the Bolse Defensive Satellite, where the agitated monkey vowed to them that they would be sorry for crossing their paths. Despite their best efforts, however, they were once again defeated and were horribly injured and disfigured.
He was also seen in the "back entrance" to Venom when Star Wolf were given new ships. When they encountered each other at Andross's Palace, he had to wear a specialized visor to help him fly the Wolfen II because of injuries to his eyes. Upon encountering Star Fox, he boasted that he and the rest of the Star Wolf Team would make sure Star Fox won't reach Andross. But surprisingly, Fox and company defeated the entirety of the team. After being shot down, Andrew ended up screaming in anguish.
Sometime after Andross was destroyed, Oikonny was kicked out of Star Wolf's band of thugs for unknown reasons, but was implied to have been caused by his constant bragging and poor piloting. As a result, his focus immediately shifted to avenging his uncle as emperor of Venom's remaining fleet.2005[]
Oikonny's Flagship is the main focus and first boss of Mission 1. Fortuna; A new enemy. When the ship transforms in the "Andross Wanna-be", it is fought in the related style as previous battle with Andross, by dodging each robotic fist punches and shooting the power supplies on the palms until they explode. Oikonny is later shot down by the Aparoid while caught off-guard bragging, and the game's attention turns away from his forces towards the Aparoid race.
Andrew, now referred only by his last name, Oikonny (except when he announces himself by his full name as Andross's successor for one brief moment), gathers Andross' remaining troops and forms a rebellion against the Cornerian Army. Although dedicated to Andrew's cause, the simian soldiers were all common space pirates, bounty hunters and thugs, in it for their fortunes.
During the battle, he refused to surrender to the Cornerian Army and ordered his army to show them that they "meant business." After the Cornerian Army managed to briefly overpower their defenses via Battle Formation V, Oikonny exposed his secret weapon: the Stealth Squadron, which forced the Army back just as the Star Fox team arrived to aid the Cornerians.
After Star Fox managed to breach through most of the defenses, Andrew ordered for them to use everything they've got against the team. After they managed to defeat even the Stealth Squadron, Andrew then fled to Fortuna (although his words as he was doing so implied that he was trying to lure the Star Fox team to the planet so he'd deal with them personally).
A new journey[]
- “One year has passed… After getting kicked out of Star Wolf's band of thugs, Andrew Oikonny takes control of his dead uncle Andross's remaining army and starts a rebellion. The Cornerian fleet is sent out to deal with the rebels and hostilities commence. However, Oikonny's army uses unexpected guerrilla tactics and the battle takes a turn for the worse. The exasperated General Pepper asks his old friend Peppy to help stop Oikonny and the Star Fox team takes off on a new mission!”

Website bio[]
Wanted: Andrew Oikonny
Species: Anthropoid
Former member of the Star Wolf Team and nephew of the late Andross. Oikonny is wanted for several crimes against Corneria. The Battle at Fortuna is evidence Oikonny has assumed command of Andross's Armada.2006[]
- “I'll show you why they call the Death Crab the most feared weapon in the Anglar Arsenal!”
- —Andrew Oikonny
Oikonny survived his encounter with the Aparoid and became active again during the Anglar uprising as a supporter of the Anglar Emperor during the Anglar Blitz. Instead of fighting the Anglar army alongside Dash Bowman, Andross's grandson (likely Andrew's first cousin once removed), he joins the Anglars and pilots the Death Crab, confronting Star Fox in Fichina City (the reasons are never explained, but it may have something to do with the fact that his uncle was the one whose machinations led to the Anglars achieving sapience, if the Goodbye Fox scenario is considered canon). Oikonny again survives this defeat, it is unknown if Oikonny will go back to flying with Star Wolf, since he hasn't expressed any interest in going back to his old wing-mates. It's also interesting to note that Andrew and Dash never meet face-to-face in this game. In one ending for "Command", Dash begins resurrecting the remnants of Andross's army, just as Andrew had tried to do in "Assault". It is very likely that Oikonny will join Bowman in his war declaration on Corneria, if this alternate ending is made canon. If so, together they may be Andross' successors over his empire.
The Death Crab is fought on the planet Fichina, during the mission Oikonny Strikes Back. The battle with the Death Crab is done in two stages. While the Death Crab is on the ground, the pincer-like appendages that the boss uses to attack with must be destroyed by shooting their weak point inside the 'claw'. After the ground battle, the Death Crab will then begin to fly around shooting out its legs. Each of the legs and claws must be destroyed before the body itself can be targeted. Evident by his usual poor piloting reputation, the boss is not very difficult.2011[]
Andrew appears in the 3DS version of Star Fox 64, playing the role he previously had the N64 game.
2016[]
Andrew returns in Star Fox Zero where he is still a member of Star Wolf, keeping in tone with his Star Fox 64 characteristics. The site declares that he is the supposed heir to Andross's Empire.
He first appears in Area 3 during the bonus mission "Chaos at the Colony" provided the player decided to warp in, where he was leading Andross's forces in the colony. Fox then pursues Oikonny throughout the colony. Upon making it out, Oikonny flees, with Fox wondering why he was present before the Great Fox alongside ROB 64 notifying Fox that General Pepper had requested an emergency meeting at Sector Beta.Andrew first appeared in the Super Smash Bros series as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which can only be used by Star Fox characters. He has recently appeared as a trophy in the fourth Super Smash Bros. title. His pose is captured from his official Star Fox: Assault artwork likely because he has no official artwork from Star Fox 64 3D, while it hints that it was his own limited piloting skills that eventually got him kicked out of Star Wolf.

While Wolf was originally believed to have been working independently, an April systems update for the Nintendo Switch version of "Starlink: Battle for Atlas" adds new missions where Leon, Pigma and Andrew join in on Wolf's plans, requiring Fox's respective teammates to take action against their rivals.
Other appearances[]
Star Fox 2[]
Despite the Star Wolf wing appearing with four members in Star Fox 2, Andrew Oikonny does not appear in the final game, instead being replaced by a lemur-like character known as Algy on higher difficulties. However, early concept art has revealed that Andrew was considered for inclusion during development, sharing the same name and similar design as Star Fox 64.
